Frequently Asked Questions.
1. Are you licensed and insured?
PCPW LLC is licensed and insured in the State of Florida. We carry insurance that specifically address' pressure washing, not just a general liability policy, which rarely covers damage from pressure washing and roof cleaning. Call or email us and we'll gladly send you an up-to-date valid copy of each.
2. How much do you charge?
We don't make any claims to be the cheapest company in town. Neither are we the most expensive. We pay tax and insurance thus we have to cover these costs. Each job is evaluated individually. We give 100% free no obligation estimates.
“The bitter taste of poor quality remains much longer than the sweet taste of a low price.”
3. If your not the cheapest in town, why should we use your company?
We are licensed and insured for your protection. Correct insurance isn't cheap! If an unlicensed and uninsured contractor suffers an injury on your property... they will sue you. The yellow pages and television are saturated with "injury" attorneys. If we get injured, we are covered. You keep your home. PCPW LLC has a 100% safety record.
4. Are you certified to perform the roof cleaning work you do?
Yes, in fact we are dual certified by the two nationally accredited roof cleaning certification and roof cleaning training educators; The Roof Cleaning Institute of America and The American Roof Cleaners Association. The roof cleaning agents we use here at PCPW LLC require expertise and can potentially be dangerous in the hands of a novice both to landscaping, paints and certain finishes as well as to the operator him or herself. They need to be used in the correct manner with attention to detail. Be insistent in hiring a certified roof cleaning contractor.
5. Can I clean my roof myself?
Working on a roof is dangerous. Roof work is consistently ranked in the TOP 10 most dangerous jobs in America. Leave it to professionals whom clean roofs everyday.
6. What are those black stains on my roof?
It’s not mold. It’s not soot from the chimney. It’s algae. Fiberglass asphalt shingles use mineral fillers such as limestone, which is a food source for roof algae (Gloeocaspa magma). That’s right, limestone is a food source for roof algae! Algae causes unsightly streaks and will significantly decrease the life of your roof shingles.
7. What are those black stains on my driveway and building?
It’s algae. Fiberglass asphalt shingles use mineral fillers such as limestone, which is a food source for roof algae (Gloeocaspa magma). Roof algae is an airborne contaminant. It spreads from your roof to your walls and driveways.
